Cookery courses
See the updated course dates
My cookery courses are designed chiefly around the Aga and Gaggenau steam oven; these are my areas of speciality. But whatever equipment you personally own you will find the sessions a fascinating experience, and full information will be given about achieving the same results, whatever type of cooker you use.
There are two types of courses: demonstration days, where I have a maximum of eight people at a time so that you can sit comfortably round my kitchen table, enjoying a relaxed atmosphere. Here you will gather tips about many things, not just the Aga! And you won’t feel embarrassed asking some of the basic questions on things that we have all had to learn. For the demonstration days we
start with coffee and homemade biscuits from 10am, the actual cooking starts at 10.30. The sessions end with a light lunch with wine. There are various themes - and a choice of dates.
The hands-on days days are designed to help both the new cook and the more confident cook. My aim is to help you learn new skills but at the same time have a fun time. For all these days there is a chance to use not only the Aga but a Gaggenau steam oven, conventional oven and induction hob.
There will be no more than six in a group, maybe you would like to come with a group of friends and try your hand at cooking something different or learn a new skill such as breadmaking. See the course calendar for dates.
On some occasions we also have cook-and-eat sessions where we spend some time eating the meal that we have prepared, which usually turn out to be very agreeable social as well as instructional sessions!
You will have a recipe pack to take home so that you can practice all the recipes cooked that day.
For anyone moving into a new home and daunted by the Aga, I can offer one to one instruction. Please telephone for information.
I am also happy to organise a group day if at least six friends want to come together on a specific day or for a theme.
We are pleased to offer a gift voucher, to give to someone special, that gives the opportunity for a very special gift. More details...
